WHAT IS A FIP

Fisheries Improvement Projects are multi-party initiatives that aim to improve the sustainability, practices and management of fisheries to meet the standards required by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and MarinTrust certifications.

PARTNERS OF THE PROJECT

In order to set up and implement the action plan of this national and strategic project for the improvement of the small pelagic fishery, many stakeholders (political actors, organizations, private or public enterprises, etc.) have provided their institutional and financial support, but also qualified human resources.

Today, the FIP benefits from the support of the most important Mauritanian institutions in the sector of fisheries resources management and many international partners.
